Following last week’s bombshell announcement by Olivia Pope to the media, all hell is set to break loose on tonight’s new episode of Scandal season 5.

Last week’s new episode of Scandal, titled “Yes,” ended with Olivia confirming to the media that “yes,” she is having an affair with the President. The revelation was shocking because Olivia was the one who wanted to figure out her and Fitz’s relationship issues before going public.

Besides the bombshell announcement, it sounds like Scandal season 5, episode 3 will present a very memorable storyline.

Tweets from Kerry Washington (Olivia) and Darby Stanchfield (Abby) revealed in August that tonight’s episode is one for the history books:

Tonight’s new Scandal episode, titled “Paris is Burning,” airs Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on ABC. “Olivia and Fitz face some very big consequences and Mellie brings in an old friend to make sure she gets her way,” reads a synopsis. “Meanwhile, Abby shows Olivia she is fully capable of handling working at the White House.”

You can stream new episodes of Scandal online every Friday morning on ABC.com and Hulu.
