The Saturn Award nominations were plagued by a glaring bad decision, prompting a fan outcry and a major change.

Last week the nominees for the 2016 Saturn Awards were announced and featured Star Wars: The Force Awakens with the most nominations (15!). There was just one problem: Star John Boyega (who plays Finn) received a nomination as a supporting actor, not a lead.

The issue was particularly curious considering his co-star Daisy Ridley (Rey) was nominated for Best Actress.

The decision made fans seriously question why he would be considered a supporting actor after he had such a huge role in The Force Awakens. As fans wrote on Facebook:
