Samuel L. Jackson has reiterated that he’d like to reprise his role of Mace Windu in Star Wars Episode VII, regardless of the fact that his character is long since dead.

While appearing on the Graham Norton Show on BBC One in the United Kigdom, Samuel L. Jackson revealed that if he got his way, he’d reappear as Mace Windu in Star Wars Episode VII.

I want to be in “Star Wars” now too, in J.J.’s “Star Wars.” I mean, come on. Jedi fall from incredible heights and a lot of them have lived with one hand. I think I could handle it.

This isn’t the first time that Jackson has said that he’d like to return for Star Wars Episode VII. In December, Jackson had this to say:

I’m not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more Star Wars. It’s like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I’m dead and we’ll find out what happened to Mace Windu. I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that’s still around that didn’t actually die. I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don’t care. I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won’t because I’ve been in three of them.

Around the same time, he also gave more explanations of how Mace Windu may have survived:

He just went out the window. He’s a Jedi! He could have landed on a ledge.

We think there’s room for him to cameo as a ghost, but it’d be shocking to see it be much more than that. It also wouldn’t be a surprise to see director J.J. Abrams stay as far away from the Star Wars prequels as possible, and if he does, Jackson can’t return.

Thanks for the heads up, Latino Post.

Do you think Samuel L. Jackson should appear in ‘Star Wars Episode VII’?
