Sam Rockwell hosted SNL with musical guest Halsey this week. Former SNL favorites Bill Murray and Fred Armisen joined the episode with their spot-on political impressions, too.

Cold Open

In the first cold open of 2018, SNL spoofed MSNBC’s Morning Joe program. The political show included Bill Murray as Steve Bannon and Fred Armisen as Michael Wolff, the author whose book Fire and Fury has described candid details of the President’s dramatic every day life in the White House.

Sam Rockwell Monologue

Sam Rockwell opened his first ever stint as host of SNL to insist he has gone from background actor to a leading man. And he does it all in the form of a musical number throughout the studios at Saturday Night Live. He even runs in to some recognizable faces like Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Cecily Strong.
