Disney Channel vet Sabrina Carpenter is sticking with Netflix for her next project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Sabrina Carpenter has signed on to star in and executive produce a brand new take on Lewis Carrol’s, Alice in Wonderland.

The actress and singer took to Twitter shortly after news of the project broke to spread the word with fans far and wide.

“We’re going to wonderland !!!! at last productions @netflix,” tweeted Carpenter.

The upcoming project is being described as a musical reimagining of the children’s classic, and will find Carpenter starring as the titular Alice.

Unfortunately, fans itching to know more about what that might mean for the film will have to sit tight. Currently, specifics surrounding the plot are being kept close to the chest. Even so, a few details have emerged— namely that it’ll be a contemporary take on the classic story set in the modern day at a music festival aptly called “Wonderland.”

In addition to leading the cast, Carpenter will also serve as a producer on the project via her At Last Productions company. Alloy Entertainment will also be serving as a producer on the project. The actress and the production company are no strangers to working together.

Previously, Alloy Entertainment and the Girl Meets World vet collaborated with Netflix on the streaming giant’s recent dance flick, Work It, which Carpenter also earned an executive producing credit on.

Others involve behind the scenes on the project include Ross Evans, who has been tapped to write the script for the movie.
