Authors Sabaa Tahir and Victoria Aveyard discuss what it is like writing a sophmore book and some very fun pop culture topics.

Ever wonder what Sabaa Tahir and Victoria Aveyard discuss in their free time? Well, they put together a little video to share with readers discussing everything from writing a second book in a series, fandom and which superheroes they would like to see gender swapped.

About Sabaa Tahir

Sabaa Tahir spent her childhood in the Mojave Desert, where she didn’t have cable and thus chose to entertain herself with books and radio. Her parents assured her that she wanted to become a doctor, but a brief stint working in a hospital changed her mind.

Tahir left the desert for university at 17, graduated from UCLA a few years later, and went to work for The Washington Post directly after. Five years later, she left the Post and started working on a book.

If she could be anything, she’d be a space explorer, but a cool one, like Jean-Luc Picard.

The book Tahir started working on was An Ember in the Ashes, her New York Times bestselling debut. The Follow up to that book, A Torch Against the Night, released just last week and is an amazing follow up.

Sabaa Tahir is currently on tour for the release of A Torch Against the Night and we will be moderating her panel tonight at An Unlikely Story so if you are in the are stop by!
