Ryan Reynolds is officially continuing his partnership with Deadpool studio, Twentieth Century Fox Film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Reynolds’ next project will involve tackling the iconic murder-mystery board game, Clue.

Reynolds’ new on-screen project comes as a result of his three-year first-look deal with Twentieth Century Fox Film.

The Deadpool actor is set to star in the forthcoming film, which he will also be producing through his production company, Maximum Effort. Reynolds’ involvement in the upcoming Clue movie could also find the actor reuniting with some familiar names.

In addition to learning of Reynolds’ involvement, we also learned that Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are also currently in talks to write the script for the new Clue flick.

Movie fans may already know that the classic board game served as inspiration for the 1985 comedy which starred Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren.

Fans of the cult comedy classic can rest easy knowing that Ryan Reynolds’ new film won’t be a remake of the 1985 flick. Instead, Deadline reports that the new film will be based on “the mythology of the venerable board game.”

There’s currently no word on when Twentieth Century Fox Film plans to release Clue on the big screen, but Ryan Reynolds fans won’t have to wait long before they can see the actor in action once more on the sliver screen.

Up next, Reynolds is set to reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth in the highly anticipated Deadpool sequel. Originally set to be released in June, Fox announced earlier this year that they have pushed the release date up to May 18.
