Ryan Murphy had some interesting words to say about The Glee Project season 1 winners and not just Damian and Sam! [minor spoilers ahead]

Following an event last night in Hollywood, THR is reporting that Ryan Murphy reaffirmed to reporters that there will just be 1 winner this season:

“There is just one; it’s not like me at all,” he told reporters. “They were adamant that there was one winner.”

Ryan also dished on how the 4-way (sort of) tie happened with season 1:

“I honestly thought there was a place for all four of them on the show,”

“A lot of times when we’re doing them, we have to cast the lead singer of that group, for example Lindsay played that this year and Alex played one of those people this year. I thought, there’s such a need for that, so I think we’re going to have a four-way tie,” he added. “They said, ‘You can’t do that.’ I begged them and we did the two guys, who I thought would be great in the choir room and I loved Lindsay and Alex so much that we wrote those two roles for them.”

Ryan then says something particualarly interesting about Alex and Lindsay:

“Hopefully they will be back on the show again this year in those characters.”

A few weeks ago we reported that Lindsay Pearce mentioned on Twitter that there was no chance of her returning to Glee in season 4. Maybe she hadn’t talked to Ryan yet?
