Ryan Murphy made a surprise announcement about Stevie Nicks’ involvement on American Horror Story: Coven this morning on his twitter account!

Without any real explanation, Murphy seems to have announced that legendary singer Stevie Nicks will be appearing on American Horror Story: Coven. Read the tweet below and decide for yourself:

It’s no secret that Murphy is a huge Stevie Nicks fan. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, the American Horror Story: Coven creator admitted that he made the character Misty a fan of Nicks because he is. “She is obsessed with Stevie Nicks because I am obsessed with Stevie Nicks,” he explained.

Murphy also revealed that when he first approached Nicks’ about being involved in the show she was hesitant. Apparently, Nicks’ had a very good reason for being worried about her music being used in the show.

Murphy tells of a scary time in her career saying, “She was very resistant because from the beginning of her career people who are in the Wiccan community had given her a hard time thinking she was a witch and she got a lot of scary fan letters. She didn’t like the darkness of that.”

Luckily, she did eventually come around and even committed to doing a special version of a song for the show about a witch. Now it looks like Nick’s will be having even more involvement on the show by coming on it!

UPDATE:

The official American Horror Story twitter account has confirmed that Murphy was referring to a guest appearance.

While E! Online reports that Nicks will appear in season 3, episode 10 to meet her biggest fan (Misty) and might be singing with her.
