The HelLA webseries season one finale brought together some familiar faces.

Veronica Mars‘ Ryan Hansen appeared in the season one finale with Mary Kate Wiles, who webseries fans will know from The Lizzie Bennet Diaires, and more recent series Kissing in the Rain (the season one finale of which also aired this week).

In the HelLA finale, Hansen, who portrayed Dick Casablancas in the Veronica Mars TV series and recent movie adaptation, is holding a party that Wiles and HelLA creator Rory Uphold are invited to.

HelLA, the brainchild of Uphold, focuses on funny and hellish moments that could only happen in LA. Previous episodes of the short but sweet series have highlighted the everyday hell of ordering coffee, and parking in LA. Season one of HelLA ran 12 episodes, and featured guests star including Kit Williamson (Hipsterhood) Emma Koenig (of blog FUCK! I’m in my twenties).

In the spirit of HelLA, we asked creator Rory Uphold and guest star Mary Kate Wiles about their most hellish LA experiences. Uphold told us, “I had a dermatologist tell me that it was time to start thinking about preventative Botox. I was 22. So I thought about it for ten minutes, and I decided I needed a new dermatologist.”

As for Wiles, “I went to a friends show at Second City on Hollywood and when I came out after the show my car had been towed. I couldn’t figure out why. Then I realized that a tree had been covering up a stack of like ten parking signs with all these contradictory rules about when you could park there. I was so mad. And that’s the second time that’s happened!”

A Kickstarter campaign for HelLA season 2 is currently underway. At the time of writing, the project had reached just over $10,000 of its $15,000 funding target. The campaign will close on May 8, 2014 at 6 p.m. ET.
