Ryan Coogler is continuing his partnership with Disney— and his first new project could involve bringing a Wakanda series to Disney+.

According to Variety, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler has just inked a multi-year overall deal with The Walt Disney Company.

The exciting new deal would find the director developing original television projects for the streamer through Coogler’s Proximity Media banner.

In a statement announcing his partnership with the studio, the Black Panther helmer spoke of how much he’s looking forward to creating television content for “all the amazing studios under the Disney umbrella.

In his statement, the filmmaker also teases that he and Proximity Media are looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and the rest of the Marvel team on more Disney+ series.

“We look forward to learning, growing, and building a relationship with audiences all over the world through the Disney platforms,” said Coogler via a statement. “We are especially excited that we will be taking our first leap with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and their partners at Marvel Studios where we will be working closely with them on select MCU shows for Disney+. We’re already in the mix on some projects that we can’t wait to share.”

One of the first MCU shows Ryan Coogler could be bringing to Disney+ is a Wakanda series. Currently, there aren’t too many details with regards to what a series centered around T’Challa’s mother country might focus on.

That being said, it’s still exciting to know that a Wakanda series could be the next to join the already impressive lineup of Marvel series coming down the pipeline at Disney+!
