The cast and crew of Avengers Infinity War are hoping to keep Marvel fans spoiler free leading up to the superhero flick’s big premiere!

In the age of the internet, it’s almost impossible to stay spoiler free when it comes to big movie releases.

Whether you find yourself accidentally spoiled by a poorly worded headline or by someone you follow who accidentally lets slip a pretty important plot detail, there’s no denying that it’s becoming harder and harder to drown out the tidbits of information you’re trying to avoid as you wait to head to the theater to experience buzz-worthy flicks.

Even so, the Russo Brothers and Marvel are trying their hardest to make sure fans of the Avengers are able to enjoy the next installment of the franchise without knowing what’s coming before they head to the theaters.

The directors took to their Twitter account on Tuesday (April 3) to share a special message with the very appropriate hashtag #ThanosDemandsYourSilence.

The tweet features an image of Thanos’ hand holding up a note addressed to “the greatest fans in the world.”

“We’re about to embark on the Avengers: Infinity War press tour. We will be visiting fans all over the world screening only a limited amount of selected footage from the film in order to avoid spoiling the story for future viewers,”’ reads the note.

“We will not screen the film in its entirety until the Los Angeles premiere shortly before the film’s global release. Everyone involved with the film has worked incredibly hard of the past two years maintaining the highest level of secrecy. Only a handful of people know the film’s true plot.

We’re asking that when you see Infinity War, in the coming months that you maintain that same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time. Don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

Good luck and happy viewing.

The Russo Brothers.”

At the end of the day, the Russos make a great point about common online courtesy.

Even so, it’s definitely making us wonder what big plot twists might be coming in Avengers: Infinity War that could have prompted them to launch the anti-spoilers campaign.

The Russo’s aren’t the only ones on board with trying to keep the latest Avengers flick spoiler free as it rolls out across the world.

A few cast members, including Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland made sure to retweet the special message.

Holland in particular, who has notably mentioned it’s hard for him to keep Marvel secrets under wraps, had a bit of fun with the message adding, “This letter was originally addressed to me.”

We’ll be interested to see if The Russo Brothers and the rest of the Avengers crew can successfully convince the fanbase to keep the spoilers to a minimum, or if their #ThanosDemandsYourSilence campaign goes over as well as JK Rowling’s #KeepTheSecrets!

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on Friday, April 27.
