Rush is made up of Geddy Lee (lead vocals/bass/keys), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and Neil Peart (drums/lyrics). They’re set to kickoff a world tour this September.

Science fiction novelist Kevin J. Anderson will also release a novelization of the concept behind Clockwork Angels. He explains the album’s concept and the novelization’s premise:

In a young man’s quest to follow his dreams, he is caught between the grandiose forces of order and chaos. He travels across a lavish and colorful world of steampunk and alchemy, with lost cities, pirates, anarchists, exotic carnivals, and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life.

Rush released its debut album in 1974, and released such classic albums as 2112 and the group’s best-known album, 1981’s Moving Pictures, along a historic 40-year career. The band’s latest record, Snakes and Arrows, managed to peak at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2007.
