BTS heads to a special arcade on Run BTS! episode 81 “BTS VR1,” and shows us who’s the better gamer!

Picking teams:

Half the fun of any Run BTS! episode is seeing how the teams will shape up and how they pick them.

This time around Taehyung and Namjoon were picked as the team leaders and then took turns picking names from the pieces of paper made by the staff.

Since Taehyung wins the last round of rock/paper/scissors he gets to decide to keep his team down to three members and makes Namjoon’s team have four.

Coincidentally this causes the teams to be split into the maknaes (Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin) vs the huyungs (Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jin).

Rock Yoongi:

Before they go to leave and play the games, Bangtan decides to do their signature jump transition.

Except that Yoongi doesn’t jump with them and his members are quick to point it out and tell him they’re leaving him behind then!

Hairdressers:

Jimin and Yoongi are the first ones to test the VR games, which means that they’re also the first to figure out the masks that have to go over their faces.

When Yoongi’s hair gets messed up, the others want to fix it but also tease him for funsies. Resulting in half of Bangtan messing with Yoongi’s hair before he can even start a game.

Dizzy boys:

After testing out the games, both Yoongi and Jimin are a little bit dizzy and feeling sick. Not surprising with the way they were moved around in the game.

Still their complaints are more cute and funny than anything!

Hobi’s test:

Without a doubt, Hoseok is the biggest scaredy cat in all of BTS. Lucky for us, that creates some hilarious moments on Run BTS!

Even just testing out the VR games gets him worked up after the roller coaster is way too realistic for him. It doesn’t take long for Bangtan to laugh at him just like the rest of us.

Taehyung’s lips:

When it’s Tae’s turn to try the VR games, everyone says he looks just like a TV commercial. But they also can’t help but tease him over the shape of his lips while he gets lost in the game. That’s what family is for right?

Tae vs. Jin:

When they go to play the racing game, Taehyung and Jin are the first two to play. According to the others they’re the best.

And yet, it doesn’t take long for Jin to start yelling his way through the game. While Taehyung maintains his cool, the comparison is just the best.

Hyungs celebrate:

Despite their earlier assumption that they would be the weaker team, the hyungs are quick to make a big deal out of their first win thanks to Jin.

Whether this will come back to bite them in the butt remains to be seen, for now it’s hilarious.

Hair flip:

The Run BTS! team took the time to give us a replay of Jugnkook’s hair flip, and we’re just here to appreciate it.

Hyungs celebrate again:

They just have to be so dramatic about it when Hoseok wins against Jungkook… and I love it.

Stop jumping Jimin:

Personally this part freaked me out because I’m scared of heights, but I can appreciate that he made the rest of Bangtan laugh.

Throwing cake:

When it’s Tae’s turn to play the cake game, he has no trouble like Jimin and Yoongi did. Confidently strolling up the plank and gabbing cake onto the elevator before going to eat it.
