BTS is still on tour and this time they’re filming Run BTS! in Paris. To pass the time they play a few rounds of the ever confusing Mafia game!

‘Run BTS!’ episode 72 recap:

I almost never understand any game that BTS plays but here are the rules to the Mafia game: There are three rounds, they can either be mafia, citizen, or doctor.

Each round there will be two mafias and the game ends when all two mafias are dead or citizens and mafia are equal in number. The loser has to wear the shirt that Jimin designed when they fly back to Korea.

Everyone does their introductions and only Hobi says that he’s a mafia, but then changes his mind and says that he’s a citizen which makes the rest of the members suspicious. Hobi tries to convince the others that he just said it to be funny but they’re not convinced.

They take turns saying who else they think is suspicious. Jimin thinks Namjoon is being suspicious, Jin names Jungkook, Tae says Jimin or Jungkook along with Hobi, Namjoon says Jin, and Yoongi agrees it’s Jin.

When it’s time to point out who to kill, they all point to either Jin or Namjoon. When it comes time to vote, they end up letting Jin live after his emotional speech about getting blamed even though he was innocent when they played the BTS village.

Night time falls and the mafia’s pick is Jin, and the doctor’s pick is Jin too. Taehyung is confused about whether or not the mafia knows who the doctor is and tries to sort it out but it makes the others suspicious of him in the process

When they point to who they want to kill the second time they all go for Hobi who half-heartedly tells them he’s a citizen. They’re surprised to find out that he was telling the truth but they already killed him.

Night time falls and the mafia’s pick is Yoongi, doctor’s pick is Jin so Yoongi dies.

There is a lot of arguing about who to point out next, many think Namjoon or Jimin could be mafia. But they end up pointing at Jin and killing him, but he was a citizen too.

Now that everyone has lost, the mafia is revealed to be Jungkook and Namjoon. While Jin was the doctor, he kept saving himself at night!

The second round starts and Jimin thinks they should try to figure out which one of them is the doctor. They all introduce themselves again and Hobi calls himself a mafia again even though that method didn’t work well for him last time.

For some reason everyone wants to target Jin again, but then when Tae argues that he thinks Yoongi is the mafia and his reply makes everyone suspicious.

When it’s time to point they all go for Yoongi who tells them that he’s the doctor and they basically suck at the game. They vote to kill him anyways and the staff reveals he was telling the truth about being the doctor which surprises the others.

Night time falls and the mafia’s pick Namjoon to kill.

They debate a lot about who to kill next, and they end up going with Hobi saying that he isn’t talking a lot. Even though he tells them that the reason he isn’t talking is so that they don’t become suspicious of him for no reason.

But they kill him anyways and find out that he really is a citizen.

The citizens lose this round again, and Jin and Jimin are revealed to have been the mafia.

The staff reveals to viewers that J-Hope got a special mission that no one knows about. He’s the x-man, and his mission is to let his team loose games. If he gets them to lose three times he wins, if they win a game then the others win.

Now that the third round is about to start, Yoongi tells the others about his suspicion that someone is leading the games. They start asking Hobi if he’s a spy but he tells them that he’s a citizen. Jungkook also claims that he’s the doctor this round so that the others don’t kill him.

Yoongi tries to convince the others that he thinks Hobi is a mafia this round but that ends up making the others suspicious that he’s the spy that he tried to warn them about. There’s a mix of votes but Hobi gets the most and tries one last time to convince them that he’s a citizen which saves him.

Night time comes and the Mafia picks Jimin but the doctor also picks Jimin.

Jimin tells the others that he’s the doctor and he saved himself after Jungkook admits that he was lying. While Yoongi tells the others that he’s the mafia and so is Hobi and they all laugh.

They all get confused when Yoongi just tells them to kill him already since they won’t listen to him about Hobi but they do it anyways and then find out that he was a citizen after all.

Night time falls and the Mafia picked Jimin and the doctor picked Namjoon.

After Jungkook does a lot of talking the others get suspicious that maybe he’s the mafia but then they end up saving him anyways.

At night time the Mafia kills Jungkook. The citizens lose the game again and Hobi is revealed to be the x-man of the game.

But the Run BTS! Producers have another surprise up their sleeve, all the members knew that Hobi was the x-man and each had their own missions. If one of them failed then they all failed.

Here are the members missions for Hobi:

– Tae: Getting heart from Hobi twice
– Namjoon: Do high fives twice
– Jin: Shake hands twice with Hobi
– Yoongi: Get Hobi to ask if he’s the spy
– Jimin: Hug Hobi twice
– Jungkook: Hobi should react to Jungkook with “oh”

Only Jungkook failed to get Hobi to do what he needed him to do, but that means that all the members failed since he didn’t complete his.

Hobi and Jungkook chose bags to see who will have to wear the penalty shirt and Hobi gets the shirt. Footage from their arrival back in Korea shows Hobi, Jimin and Tae in the penalty shirts.
