A newly registered trademark and a couple of tweets suggest that the production of a television series based on the post-apocalyptic Fallout franchise of video games may be underway.
Bethesda Softworks, publishers of the most recent Fallout games, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, have registered a trademark for “FALLOUT,” Eurogamer reports – with a description of “Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.”
The trademark was filed on the same day that Fallout 3 voice actor Erik Todd Dellums teased his followers about his potential involvement in another Fallout project:

There has been no word from Bethesda yet about either a Fallout TV show or Fallout 4, but current rumours suggest that the latter may debut with the next-generation consoles later this year.
The Fallout franchise started back in 1997, with its sequel following a year later. Several spin-off titles followed before Fallout: 3 was released in 2008. New Vegas is the most recent game in the series, which launched in 2010. The series of RPGs, set in the 22nd and 23rd centuries, have enjoyed constant critical and commercial success.
