British tabloid newspaper The Mirror reports that axed X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been negotiating to land guest roles on the American TV series Glee and How I Met Your Mother.

Let’s treat this as a rumour until we hear more from Cheryl Cole or her people, but according to The Mirror, the singer and host of the British X-Factor will be guest starring on the upcoming seasons of Glee and How I Met Your Mother – appearing as herself, on both shows.

According to the article, Cole’s manager Will.i.am. has Will.i.am “has been in weekly contact with US networks CBS and Fox to discuss Cheryl’s next move Stateside.”

According to the writer’s source,

Cheryl’s US dream is far from over. Her people are in talks with executives involved with Glee and How I Met Your Mother with a view to featuring Cheryl in an episode. Will reckons people in the States are really starting to sit up and take notice of her. Since the US X Factor setback, Cheryl’s team is more determined than ever to get things moving for her.

If this is true, we wish Cheryl the best of luck with both projects. What do you think of Cheryl Cole’s chances at transitioning to acting, which she has never done before?
