Netflix’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch Riverdale spinoff has officially found its Harvey Kinkle!

According to Deadline, actor Ross Lynch has officially signed on to star opposite Kiernan Shipka in Netflix’s currently untitled Sabrina the Teenage Witch series.

Harvey is Sabrina’s boyfriend and is described as “the prince charming of this dark fairy tale.” His dad is a coal miner, but Harvey’s considered a bit of a dreamer who’s completely oblivious to the dark magic that looms in Greenfield.

Harvey may be Sabrina’s boyfriend, but it doesn’t sound like their relationship will be smooth sailing. As the series progresses, we’ll see dark forces conspire to keep Harvey and Sabrina apart.

Most recently, Lynch made headlines for starring in My Friend Dahmer where he played infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in his younger adolescent years.

That being said, Disney Channel fans will undoubtedly be familiar with the actor and musician for his work on the Disney Channel original series Austin & Ally which ran for four seasons from 2011 to 2016.

We’ve known for quite a while that Netflix’s untitled Sabrina series is set to be much darker in nature than the ’90s comedy that starred a young Melissa Joan Hart as the titular character.

With that in mind, we’re sure Lynch’s recent work on dramas like My Friend Dahmer will definitely come in handy going into the new Netflix entity.

Lynch isn’t the only recently announced cast member set to be joining Shipka on Netflix’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Earlier this year, we learned that actors Michelle Gomez and Chance Perdomo have also joined the cast. They’ll be playing Baxter High teacher Mary Wardell and Ambrose Spellman, respectively.
