ABC has secured the rights to the “reboot” of Roseanne.

The network announced on a conference call Tuesday afternoon that they had secured the rights for the eight new episodes, which’ll air during the 2017-2018 midseason. They’d been rumored to be competing with Netflix for the Roseanne revival.

ABC officially called it a “reboot,” but it’ll have most (if not all) of the original cast members, and it’s set to be a present day story. As we told you previously, Roseanne Barr, John Goodman (Dan, who’s now alive) and Sara Gilbert (Darlene) are already booked for the new season. Also returning are Laurie Metcalf (Jackie) and Michael Fishman (D.J.).

Still no word yet on how they’ll be bringing Dan back to life, but we do know which actress will be playing Becky from the original series: Lecy Goranson, the original. But! ABC also confirmed today that Sarah Chalke — the other Becky — will be back in the reboot for “another role.”
