For the first time ever we hear actor Bradley Cooper voice the machine-gun wielding Raccoon in a new trailer teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Update: Watch the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer featuring Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser!

Marvel continues to release bafflingly short trailer teasers for Guardians of the Galaxy in anticipation of the film’s full trailer on Monday. Today is no different, as they’ve released an even shorter teaser which gives us our first shot of Rocket Raccoon speaking.

The new teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy’s new trailer is exciting, albeit short. The footage in the two recent teasers is mostly new, so hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot of new footage in the full trailer when it hits on Monday.

We recently got our first great looks at Karen Gillan as the film’s villain Nebula and she looks incredible. The makeup (and bald head) make her look incredibly menacing and she is definitely one of the draws to the film despite not appearing in most of the film’s promotion.

Marvel shot for the fences with this film and while it’s still a wild card we think this will be a major hit with audiences with it’s unique characters and great comedic elements. A report was recently released that stated Marvel has already scheduled a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel for 2016.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s release date is set for August 1, 2014. Featuring an intergalactic group of Guardians, led by Star-Lord, they make a desperate stand to save the galaxy.

Be sure to check back on Monday when Marvel will release Guardians of the Galaxy’s new full-length trailer for their latest film.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper voices the machine-gun-wielding Rocket Raccoon and is joined by Vin Diesel as the tree-like Groot, with Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista filling out the leading roles. James Gunn directed and wrote the script.
