After playing an elderly nanny, a psychopath and countless others, the comedian will step into the shoes of the President alongside a star-studded cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Williams joins Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Redgrave, Terrence Howard, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda and Colman Domingo in a movie by Lee Daniel. He will play President Dwight D. Eisenhower from a script by Danny Strong.

The Butler tells the story of Eugene Allen, an employee of The White House who served eight First Families. It’s based on an article about Allen which was published in The Washington Post. Shooting starts in New Orleans later this month.
