Deceased Hollywood actor Robin Williams is the most searched-for celebrity online in 2014, with Jennifer Lawrence close behind.

Ask.com and The Hollywood Reporter have determined that Robin Williams is the celebrity whose name has been searched for the most times in 2014.

The search engine examined the queries of its 100 million global users, and between January 1 and November 15, the beloved comedian’s name tops the list of most searched-for celebrities.

Most of the results of course followed Robin Williams’ tragic suicide on August 11, 2014, which shocked and saddened the entertainment industry.

The runner-up for the dubious title is Jennifer Lawrence, whose online popularity isn’t just due to her roles in Mockingjay, Part 1 and X-Men: Days of Future Past; the celebrity’s hit quota rose drastically following the nude photo hacking scandal in August.

Ask.com also acknowledges that Bill Cosby’s name will probably sneak onto the list and knock off sports star Derek Jeter before the year is out, considering the recent sexual assault allegations made against the actor.
