History was just made tonight at the Academy Awards as Robert Lopez won an Oscar for Frozen‘s “Let it Go,” making him the 12th member of the exclusive EGOT club.

With Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez winning the Oscar for Best Original Song, the former has just completed his EGOT.

EGOT is the abbreviation for the four major annual American entertainment awards: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.

With Robert Lopez winning his missing Oscar tonight, there are now 12 members of the exclusive EGOT club. Lopez joins Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud, Audrey Hepburn, Marvin Hamlisch, Jonathan Tunick, Mel Brooks, Mike Nichols, Whoopi Goldberg, and Scott Rudin. Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, and James Earl Jones are all honorary members that have received a non-competitive award in one of the four categories.

Lopez’s win may be lesser in the eyes of some since his Emmy Award was a Daytime Emmy Award (The Wonder Pets), but it still counts. His other wins came for Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon.
