Robert DeNiro reprised his role as Robert Mueller on this week’s episode of SNL. Watch the hilarious sketch and highlights from the episode hosted by actor Liev Schreiber.

Robert Mueller sets Jeff Sessions free

After this week’s tumultuous political news cycle, it was anyone’s guess what would happen on SNL‘s cold open this week. However, Kate McKinnon reprised her role as now former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Robert DeNiro reprised his role as Robert Mueller, even going as far as setting Jeff Sessions free like an elf, similar to the Harry Potter books.

Paranormal occurrence

Kate McKinnon was back as the woman who experienced a paranormal experience. This time, instead of aliens, as was the case when Ryan Gosling hosted a few years ago, it was ghosts. The sketch always delivers with McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Cecily Strong. This one is no different.

The Poddys

SNL took a shot at podcasters this week as well. The Poddys are a fictional podcast award show that take aim at some of the most stereotypical podcasting tropes out there. Cecily Strong’s Sarah Koenig impression is spot-on!

Pete Davidson apologizes to Lt. Com. Dan Crenshaw

Last week SNL caused some rare controversy when comedian Pete Davidson made a crude remark about Lt. Com. Dan Crenshaw who was wounded in Afghanistan. This week, Pete returned to apologize to Crenshaw in person.

Lil Wayne performs

Lil Wayne hit the SNL stage this week to perform two songs. Check out his performance “Can’t Be Broken” below.
