James Corden invited Riz Ahmed, actor and actual rapper, to throw down in an epic Drop the Mic segment.

One of our favorite Late Late Show segments has to be “Drop the Mic,” where host James Corden invites famous guests to perform rap battles. (See Anne Hathaway and David Schwimmer for amazing examples.)

This week it was Riz Ahmed’s turn — a tough challenger, seeing as when he isn’t saving a galaxy far, far away Riz MC is a legitimate rapper with a hugely successful career.

See how it all went down:

Both sides get some good insults in, Corden devastating with the ultimate Star Wars burn, “He made me miss the days of Jar-Jar Binks.”

But as the segment goes on and the gloves come off, Ahmed fires back some of his own, including “Too bad they weren’t trying to cast Jabba the Hutt’s dad.”

Congrats to Riz Ahmed on his rightful victory!
