At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rings antagonist Samara crawls out of the TV to save the world.

Rings, the latest, digitally up-to-date installment of the Ring franchise, sees Samara once again crawl out of her well to brutally murder innocent victims.

The opening sequence of the movie sees Samara attack a passenger on an airplane — watch it with the lights on, because yikes:

A second clip shows Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) watching the tape for the first time:

Rings is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and also stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio.

The official synopsis reads:

A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…

The movie hits theaters Friday, February 3.
