Rihanna is at it again, previewing her upcoming seventh studio album with new single “Diamonds.”

Written by Sia and produced by Stargate – the hitmakers behind “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Take A Bow,” “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name” – “Diamonds” isn’t a typical RiRi dance song. As Rihanna described to radio host Elvis Duran, it’s a “happy and hippy record.”

“Find light in the the beautiful sea/I choose to be happy/You and I, you and I/We’re like diamonds in the sky/You’re a shooting star I see/A vision of ecstasy/When you hold me, I’m alive/We’re like diamonds in the sky,” RiRi sings in the first verse. Making its radio debut this morning, “Diamonds” will be available on iTunes at 9 a.m. ET.

The new album will be the follow-up to 2011’s Talk That Talk. It’ll also be Rihanna’s fourth album in four years.

Talk That Talk produced the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards’ Video of the Year in “We Found Love” as well as hits in “Where Have You Been” and “Birthday Cake.”

Rihanna will take her new music on the road starting March 8, 2013 in Buffalo N.Y. The North American leg of her Diamonds World Tour will include 27 stops before wrapping up in Brooklyn, N.Y. May 4. Tickets started going on sale Sept. 14, but the on-sale date differs depending on the location.
