This is not a drill, folks. Rick Riordan will once again be diving into Greek mythology to talk about Percy Jackson and the god Apollo.

During his tour for The Sword of Summer, Riordan announced his next project, a five-part series about the god Apollo. And yes, you will be seeing Percy Jackson again.

The series will be about how Apollo has been turned into a human because Zeus is angry with him. He becomes a 16-year-old mortal boy with absolutely no powers. He’ll wind up in New York City, landing in a dumpster, no less.

He’s got lots of enemies and only a few friends — friends who spend their time at Camp Half-Blood. He’ll need their help to survive the mortal world and, hopefully, regain his godly powers.

And while it’s certainly extremely exciting to know we’ll be going back to the Greek gods, it’s even more exciting that we’ll be meeting Percy and the whole gang again. In fact, we will find out what happens after The Blood of Olympus, seeing everyone at one point or another.

And yes, this means we’ll get to know what’s going on with fan-favorite characters Leo and Nico. And, of course, Percabeth.

Another check mark in the This Is Awesome column comes as we learn there will once again be funny chapter titles. In fact, Apollo being the god of bad poetry means the chapter titles will be in the form of bad haiku.

But the best news yet? The first book in The Trials of Apollo, titled The Hidden Oracle, will hit store shelves on May 3, 2016.

Our first glimpse at this new series will come when Riordan publishes Demigods & Magicians, the collection of crossover short stories featuring Percy, Anabeth, Sadie, and Carter, which will publish on April 5, 2016.

Oh, and Magnus Chase book 2, titled The Hammer of Thor, will publish on October 4, 2016.

How are excited are you for ‘The Trials of Apollo’?
