It’s almost that time of year again! Rick Riordan will be going on tour for House of Hades, and he’s just released the initial details about where he’ll be stopping.

According to his blog, Riordan will be stopping in the following cities on these dates:

October 8 – Burlington, MA
October 9 – New York, NY
October 10 – Fairless Hills, PA
October 11 – Washington, D.C.
October 12 – St. Louis, MO
October 13 – Nashville, TN
October 14 – Houston Texas
October 15 – St. Paul, MN (event already sold out)

You can check Riordan’s blog for further details, including the venues at which he’ll be speaking and signing.

While the list may seem short compared to other authors, Riordan notoriously only does a few tour stops each year, claiming that the rest of the time is spent at home, working on his next book. That book will be the followup to House of Hades and the fifth and final novel in the Heroes of Olympus series.

The title of the last book will be revealed at the end of House of Hades.

House of Hades will release on October 8. Check out the synopsis below:

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.
