The #WheresRey social media movement in late 2015 let Disney and their various merchandising partners know that fans weren’t okay with the lack of Rey in all the toys. 18 months later, some companies like Hasbro still haven’t been able to solve their Rey-ssues.

It’s been a year and a half since Hasbro, the toymaker behind the beloved Monopoly board game, promised that Rey would be added as a playable character by the end of 2016. That self-imposed deadline has since passed, but this week the Associated Press noticed that Star Wars Monopoly games at U.S. retailers were still lacking Rey.

This new Star Wars Monopoly game was released at the end of 2015 for The Force Awakens. It came with Luke Skywalker — a guy who’s in TFA for five seconds –, Darth Vader, Finn and Kylo Ren. But no Rey, the lead character ?

Flash forward to this week: The AP asked Hasbro why they didn’t follow through with their promise. The company revealed that the updated edition was offered to retailers around the world, but stores in the U.S. had enough of the old version on their hands. Thus, they didn’t want to order the fixed one with Rey.

“In early 2016, Hasbro updated the 2015 Star Wars: Monopoly game to add a Rey token,” Hasbro said to the AP. “This product was sold to retailers in several markets around the world but is not available for sale in the U.S. due to insufficient interest. Retailers had ample inventory so they did not choose to sell the new version.”

That said, those who’ve purchased the original all-male version of the game can write to Hasbro for a Rey piece. 99 people have requested Rey in the U.S., and 10 more have asked for her in Canada. In international markets, Monopoly with Rey is available at retail, though some people like this dude have ordered from Amazon U.K. and received a Rey-less version.

Here’s hoping Rey isn’t lacking in the Last Jedi merchandise later this year.
