NBC has released a slew of photos for Revolution episode 1×02 “Chained Heat”  – some of which are quite interesting. What can we learn from them?

Although these images, courtesy of NBC and Spoiler TV, seem to be fairly simple, yet slightly intriguing, there may be more to them that meets the eye.

Taking a look at the elephant in the room, the second picture, you can see several people standing in respect around a grave containing no markings except for a basic cross. It can be inferred by the people’s uniforms that they are Monroe’s soldiers. Having seen the recent promo for Revolution episode 1×02 “Chained Heat,” we think it would be a good guess that they are indeed crowding around the grave of the dead Captain Tom Neville (the Warden).

Are we being misled by the promo and image? Upon some farther investigation, it might be so. According to IMDb’s Revolution page, Giancarlo Esposito, the actor playing the Warden has been scheduled for a six episode run in the first season of Revolution. This could either signify that he will be alive for more than two episodes, or that there may be flashbacks in future episodes.

IMDb, which is a reliable source in most cases, also states that Tim Guinee, the actor that plays Ben Mathenson will also be appearing in six episodes. Of course, he cannot be in scenes involving the main timeline of the story since he was killed by the Warden in the first episode. (Flashbacks are still on the table.)

A simple explanation for these six episode runs could be that NBC has released intentionally false information in order to keep information about character deaths a secret. As mentioned previously, it is still very possible that he could appear in four flashbacks in episodes of Revolution coming in the future.

Will the Warden be murdered by Charlie in ‘Chained Heat’?
