New casting news for Revenge means that there will soon be another Brit from across the pond joining Emily in the Hamptons.

It started with Ashley Davenport, Emily’s former best friend and initial link to the Graysons, but now the British are quickly starting to invade the world of Revenge. Aiden was added at the beginning of this season as Emily’s love interest, but it looks like we’re now going to see one more Englishman join the cast.

(Fun side note if you don’t know: Josh Bowman, the actor who plays Daniel Grayson, is also British.)

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed today that Burn Gorman, formerly of Torchwood fame, will soon be joining Helen and the others at Americon Initiative. Gorman’s character will be called Trask, “a representative from the group previously aligned with Conrad and Victoria Grayson and responsible for Emily’s father’s wrongful conviction.”

THR also made a note that this is a recurring role.

Burn Gorman is a versatile actor from the U.K. with roles ranging from costume drama to action. His most recognizable role to U.S. fans is that of Doctor Owen Harper from Torchwood. Gorman’s Torchwood character was haunted by the death of his fiancée, which caused him to frequently push others away so as not to deal with his pain.

Fans had a love/hate relationship with the character over two series. Gorman’s character was finally killed off in series 2, redeeming himself in an uncharacteristic act of self-sacrifice.

Gorman also had a small role in The Dark Knight Rises.

Perhaps fans of Revenge will also have a love/hate relationship with Trask, who we could see playing a double-agent type of role, or even teaming up with Emily in some way. Maybe he could also have a connection with Aiden or Ashley.

At any rate, we’re excited to see the scope of Revenge expanding, and we hope that means these new twists and turns will cause Emily’s quest for revenge to continue for quite a while.
