Nolan and Emily’s relationship has been one of our favorites to watch on Revenge, but lately the two haven’t had much time together on screen, and Emily hasn’t exactly been showing the love to Nolan. Could their new dynamic cause Nolan to reveal Emily’s secret?
While Nolan is responsible for providing Emily with her wealth and assisting her in her quest for vengeance, she hasn’t been showing too much appreciation for him lately. This season on Revenge has shown us a little more tension between the brother-sister-like duo, and in an interview with TV Line, Gabriel Mann teases that there might be even more strain on their relationship.
“I would say even up until now, where we are in Season 2, his intentions and affiliations with her are being tested for sure.”
Even though things have gotten a little complicated with Nemily recently, Nolan would never reveal her deepest secret, right? Mann hints that under certain circumstances, Nolan could be pushed that far.
“Being that he is one of the holders of her secret and has kept his mouth shut for this long is a good indicator that he may be able to keep it shut for a little bit longer. But given some extenuating dramatic circumstances, he may be pushed a little bit when it comes to that issue…”
We all know that Nolan and Aiden haven’t exactly gotten along this season, and it seems like Nolan might not be the only one questioning the dashing Brit’s motives.
“Things will get decidedly more complicated with Nolan and his past, and Aiden’s story starts to put some serious question marks in a number of characters’ minds.”
Nolan has his fair share of personal drama outside of his relationship with Emily, which mainly includes his love life and a ghost from the past.
“I love the concept of a very complicated bisexual love triangle that is unapologetic — and that’s exactly what this is. And dramatically, it’s very fun to play with. It will take an episode or two to figure out some of Marco’s motivations. Their relationship ended in a painful way, so any kind of reemergence would be semi-unwelcome at this point…”
Mann also teases that the sinking of the Amanda may draw more casualties than expected, and that one of them is probably a major character.
“It’s actually going to be quite shocking. I have heard the rumors of at least one of the people who may be on that boat and all I can say is that we are in desperate talks to try and change that — even though that person is happy with it because in a sense you have to go big on a show like this. I’m really interested to see how that plays out and who truly does end up on the boat.”
We just hope one of those people on the boat doesn’t turn out to be Nolan. The show wouldn’t be the same without him!
