We learned at the end of last season that Emily’s mother is still alive, and Victoria might know where she is. In these new Revenge sneak peeks, it looks like Emily is digging deeper to find her mama.
The first clip shows Aiden running up to Emily on the beach, asking if she has accepted his apology yet. We’re not sure if he’s referring to getting involved in her current schemes or from years ago when he left her to find his sister. It’s probably both. Watch out for spoilers!
Emily shares that she found her mother, playing him the message Kara Clarke left for Gordon Murphy, the White-Haired Man, and how she was suspicious of the fictitious “Detective Laskey” (Aiden) who came and questioned her about Murphy.
Aiden admits to getting the flight recorder from Murphy’s motel room, but he doesn’t reveal that he was the detective snooping around. If he told Emily that, she would know Aiden knows where to find her mother, and he doesn’t want her to go there yet.
“This woman has the power to destroy everything you came here to do.”
He also doesn’t know if Emily can trust her, especially if Murphy has been brainwashing Kara for 20 years.
“Before you track her down, you better be prepared for what you might find.”
In the second Revenge sneak peek clip, Emily tells Amanda her mother is still alive, and her only hope at finding her is going through Victoria.
“Victoria is the only person left who could possibly tell me where she is.”
That’s why she planted her father’s “updated” journals with Amanda so Victoria would crack and say where she can find Kara Clarke. Right “on cue,” Amanda gets call from Grayson Manor, which is Victoria calling and asking Amanda to come over to discuss some things. Victoria also wants her to bring the journal she showed to Charlotte.
Amanda tells Emily, “It looks like you’ve hooked your fish.”
