Revenge season 4, episode 9, “Intel,” aired last night! See what happened with our favorite South Hampton residents in our recap.

Revenge starts out with Emily torturing her prisoner when the doorbell rings. Ben is at the door and he’s nervous as hell. He asks her out – but gets shot down! Ouch.

Jack walks Kate to her door and they almost kiss when she gets a call that David Clarke was attacked. Apparently David fought off the attackers but the police have one in custody.

Sheriff Alvarez lets Kate and Jack in to question the perp but he’s already hung himself.

Hmm. Something fishy is going on.

Emily and Jack meet in front of the precinct. He informs her of the perp’s suicide and she of course doesn’t believe it.

Nolan is hanging out with Louise at the Beach Club. He’s getting intel for Margaux. He then calls Margaux afterward and asks her to look into Louise’s father’s death.

A clean-shaven David meets Nolan and he finally apologizes. He wants to make sure that Emily is staying out of his fight. Nolan tells him that he’ll make sure Emily stays out of it, but then realizes that she probably won’t.

Daniel tried to make amends with Margaux but was also shot down (is this a recurring trend this episode?). Victoria then visit’s Daniel and he tells her that the truth will come to light, per Emily’s words. Victoria seems upset that he’s speaking to Emily again. But we love it.

Emily shows up at Thorne Manor to find her prisoner gone. Turns out Nolan let him go and told Emily that he and David both want her to stay out of his fight.

Victoria and David have a conversation about the attack and he tells her he doesn’t want her involved. He lies straight to Victoria’s face. Victoria feels it too.

At the precinct, Kate tells Jack that they should question Emily about the attack at her neighbor’s house. Jack tells her Emily’s in the clear as they spoke earlier today.

Emily are out having a few drinks. Guess she decided to give him a call. They play darts and we’re a bit upset that it’s not cricket. Emily finds out that Ben used to be married and that Chief Alvarez is the one that helped Ben move up the ranks. He notices that she’s asking a lot of questions about him. He then realizes this isn’t a real date and leaves. Ouch, again!

Victoria meets with Chief Alvarez because she wants to know more about the attack. He he tells her about the perp’s suicide and then he gets all weird by touching her hand. He says he “doesn’t want [her] to be in the wrong place at the wrong time again.” Victoria calls someone for help. She still has connections?

Louise toasts to Nolan and calls him a liar. She knows that he’s working with Margaux digging up dirt on her. He hurt her feelings. So sad.

Victoria confronts David and tells him what Chief Alvarez told her. Ooooh this is their first argument, but Victoria saves herself when she tells him she remembers the exact day (9/21/93) that they were all supposed to run off together. But David walks out and says he needs some air.

Kate tells Jack that she is getting sent back home because the feds are no longer needed in the case. He pushes the fact that it may not be a suicide but she says everything clears out. She wants a little bit of Jack before she leaves though… and now she gets shot down.

David digs up a safe. We get a flashback to when He and Victoria were going to flee with Amanda and Daniel. Victoria took 5 million dollars from Conrad and they put it in a safe. He picked the hiding spot and she had the code.

Back to the present, David puts a thumb drive in the safe and heads to Nolan’s. He says he’s going away and if he doesn’t come back to publish what’s on the drive in the safe and send to all news outlets. Nolan then insists to know what is wrong because Emily will always involve herself. David says Malcolm Black is the guy that forced David to launder money or he’d kill Amanda.

When Nolan let Emily’s prisoner go he gave him a tracer in a drink that he concocted. He then gives David the whereabouts of the prisoner. David finds him and hands him something and says to give to Malcolm Black.

Daniel finds Emily at the bar and and genuinely compliments her. He tells her that they’re both the same person, that’s why they never worked out. He then tells her about his woes with Margaux and she tells him that he never fights for anything.”Ouch” is his reply (and the third “Ouch” in this recap alone!) as she walks away.

Nolan tells Margaux that he’s not working with her anymore because he feels bad for Louise. Margaux tells her editor to run the Ellis story anyway. Daniel walks in and tells Margaux he’s going to fight for her! And that he loves her. She then drops the bomb that she’s pregnant! Whoa.

Victoria’s connect stops by and tells her that Malcolm Black is the one that hired the thug that tried to kill David. It’s said that he owes Malcolm a lot of money from a couple of years ago. Victoria says if it’s money that he wants then there is another solution. She pulls out a picture of Emily and writes, “the answer is Emily Thorne.” She tells him to get that to the right hands but to keep hers clean. Why, Victoria? Why?

David comes back and apologizes to Victoria for keeping secrets. He tells her about Malcolm.

Ben’s playing some basketball and Emily shows up to apologize. He asks what she’s NOT good at – she says, “dating.” So true. He tells her she can ask more about Alvarez if she wants. She says she thinks Alvarez is dirty and he assures her that he’s not. Only Alvarez and “the feds” had access to that room. OMG KATE!!!

Kate gets out of the shower and opens plate from room service. There is the picture and message from Victoria. Jack then knocks at Kate’s door. They kiss and her towel drops to the floor…
