Revenge season 4, episode 7, “Ambush,” just aired! Read on to find out what happened tonight with our South Hampton residents.

Revenge starts off with a flash forward to Victoria getting knocked down and some serious electrical issues happening in the background. Then we see Victoria and David in bed “20 hours earlier.” Emily breaks into the beach house and takes some evidence from a secret hiding spot.

Emily calls Nolan over to Thorne Manor and brings him the knife and key that she retrieved from the beach house. She assumes it’s the murder weapon that killed Conrad. Emily wants Nolan to dig deeper.

Margaux is heading out to meet with Louise and Daniel warns her about hanging out with her. Margaux wants to use her for networking. Daniel shrugs it off and continues to look at pictures of Emily.

Jack calls Emily and sends her a picture of the infinity symbol from the fallen officer’s garage. He fills her in on Ben’s obsession about Conrad’s death when David shows up at the precinct to visit Jack. David apologizes for the interview with Nolan and Jack tells him that Nolan was actually a really great friend to Amanda. He even officiated their wedding. He also mentions that Emily was also a very good friend to Amanda, and Carl’s godmother.

At the beach house, Daniel drills Victoria on keeping Emily’s identity from him. Daniel asks if she’s even terrified of David finding out. She isn’t, because she’s a cold-hearted bitch. He tells her that this won’t end well for her. He’s not sticking around to find out and he’s finding Emily on his own to discuss things further.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for. David walks up to meet with Emily. He wants to know more about Amanda. He doesn’t even recognize her! Emily plays it cool. It must be so hard. He lies right to her face. Emily spits out the baby shower incident and David kind of freaks out about that and leaves.

Emily runs to Nolan in the guest house in tears. They need to find out who he is and what he’s been lying about. Nolan tells her the key belongs to a safety deposit box at First Federal Manhattan. 3D printers are really a thing now. The media is following Nolan so they have to sneak out.

David returns to the beach house and Victoria asks why he visited Emily. He tells her they were friends and he feels bad (slightly) that he put the blame completely on Nolan. He asks why she didn’t help with Amanda’s money troubles. Well of course it’s because Conrad’s men would have slaughtered them both, right? Sounds like a missed opportunity.

And how about that baby shower incident? Accident. David didn’t like that answer and he’s off to question the other witnesses.

Margaux and Louise are in the Beach Club steam room and Louise is getting frisky with her questions. She’s also pretty handy with a bobby pin, can anyone else hold all their hair up with a single pin?

Margaux easily shuts her down and all of a sudden Louise remembers a meeting she should be at. When she steps out of the sauna she sees her mother. Her Mother is verbally abusing, saying, “Darling, you do not have the face to pull off an updo,” and continues about what a disappointing daughter Louise is.

Her mother compliments Margaux on being smart and beautiful and the Grayson’s will love her. Louise then jams the door with her bobby pin and turns up the hot steam. She turns around for approval from her mother but no one’s there. Turns out, no one was ever there. Louise’s creep factor is quickly rising.

Did Margaux just fall asleep in there? She gets up and the room is filled with steam. She somehow rips the bar to the door and breaks the glass. With her towel intact!

Victoria meets with what seems to be the woman that bought all of her belongings. She asks about her Kensington Horse sculpture. Once the woman leaves to refill their refreshments, Victoria retracts a velvet bag with a necklace from the bottom of the sculpture.

Margaux is yelling at the Beach Club’s owner and wants an explanation. Nolan is there and tells her that “karma’s a bitch.” The owner tells Margaux that the locks aren’t even activated and only a small pin could do so. Seems we’re not the only ones who remember the bobby pin.

Nolan and Emily are going through the bank plans, she has to be on the fourth floor at 4:30 because he’s knocking the power out. And then Daniel jumps in the elevator and stops it with Emily on board. He tells her that he wants no part of the duel between her and Victoria. She says okay and the elevator gets moving again…just as the power goes out.

Emily is looking for a way out when Daniel starts asking questions about all her lies while they were together. She says at some point it may have been possible and then she jumps up through the roof of the elevator. Margaux calls Daniel and tells him that Louise tried to kill her. Who’s his cell provider?

She gets to the box in time and it’s encased with money and a usb flash drive. She takes the flash drive and heads off just in time for the power to come on.

Daniel calls Louise and asks about the steam room incident. She plays coy and hangs up on him. Nolan walks up to the bar next to her and she jumps right into conversation with him. She lightens his spirits as she walks away.

Daniel tells Margaux that Louise denies trying to kill her and that he’s still going to work for her. Margaux smells the lies and deduces that they slept together – and throws her drink in his face.

Ben and Jack are investigating an apartment and it turns out to be the one of the man with the half-moon tattoo. There are newspaper clippings on the table about Conrad’s murder and lo and behold the same knife that killed Conrad is there. We wonder how that got there.

Jack calls Emily from the locker room and is upset that she planted the evidence in the dead man’s apartment.

David heads to the strip club where the fake Amanda worked to find answers about the baby shower incident. The stripper he meets with speaks very highly of Victoria. And of course we find out that Victoria was paying her off with that necklace and an awkward double slap on the leg.

At Thorne Manor, Emily plugs the flash drive in and finds photos of the fake Amanda which brings Emily to tears.

A storm is on the way and the Beach Club owner is asking Nolan to leave. He feels safe there because the media isn’t allowed in. He tells the owner he’ll pay him a million above asking price to buy the club. Done.

At the beach house, Victoria is taking more jewelry out of that velvet bag as David walks in. He apologizes to her and they kiss and we have to look away in disgust. Emily comes barging in and throws the pictures of Amanda in front of David.

David shoos Victoria away and it is finally revealed to David that Emily is his daughter. (The real moment we’ve been waiting for!) That infinity tattoo was probably the best decision of her life.

Victoria walks out and the power line has been tampered with and is on her car, just as the storm hits. Victoria is shocked by the door handle and David runs to her aid.
