Last night’s episode of Revenge took us back in time – and we learned some shocking new information. Our Revenge recap lets you know just what everyone was up to in their pasts.

Emily finds herself in Russia on a mission for Takeda to take out a man named Dmitri, and this is when she first meets Aiden. Posing as a bartender at Dmitri’s club, Aiden also has plans to take him down because Dmitri (who traffics women) took Aiden’s sister, Colleen, away.

Ashley has her first encounter with Emily in this nightclub as well – Emily saves her from a life of trafficking by spotting her a wad of cash in return for Dmitri’s arrival time. Though Ashley never saw Emily, we have a feeling Emily made sure to keep tabs on her and that’s how their friendship bloomed in the Hamptons.

In a moment of stupidity, Aiden tries to shoot Dmitri but is stopped by Emily, who is now posing as a young girl willing to spend some “special time” with Dmitri. Dmitri’s men take Aiden away, but Emily soon finds him after climbing through air vents.

While attempting this rescue, Emily learns that Aiden’s father was used to smuggle a bomb onto the plane by the terrorists in the same plot that framed her father. The two share an instant connection both with losing someone they’ve loved, their family’s wrongful involvement in terrorist activities, and their thirst for revenge.

The Russians catch Emily trying to save Aiden, but Takeda comes in and they catch the Russians off guard by fighting in the confusion of the nightclub. When Dmitri runs off, Aiden follows and Emily initially stops him from shooting the Russian mobster, but after being taunted, Aiden kills Dmitri. Emily and Aiden run off and Takeda cleans up the mess.

A cut to present day shows Emily and Aiden in bed together, and Emily shows him her revenge box, with the double infinity. We just hope Aiden isn’t using her in some way – he seems to be genuine, but you never know on Revenge.

Aiden aptly calls Emily’s double infinity “a journey with no end.” Could that symbolize her revenge mission? Is it never-ending?

We also got a shocking look into Victoria’s past in “Lineage,” revealing her childhood struggles. When Daniel invites Victoria’s estranged mother, Marion, and her new beau for Thanksgiving dinner, drama ensues.

So why hasn’t Victoria seen her mother in 25 years?

It was revealed that when Victoria was 15 years old and her mother was trying to snag a rich husband, Marion shot and killed the man when he refused to marry her. Marion designed a plan to frame Victoria for the murder, claiming self-defense, since she knew they wouldn’t lock her up.

Unfortunately for Victoria, though, she ended up in a hospital under psychiatric evaluation for six months. During that time, Marion found a new man, Maxwell.

When Victoria returned home, Maxwell took too much of interest in her for Marion’s liking, and according to Victoria, he molested her. After finding this out, instead of comforting her daughter and kicking out her pedophilic boyfriend, Marion kicked Victoria out and married Maxwell.

So that’s why Victoria wasn’t too keen on rekindling a relationship with her mother.

Victoria tells all of this at the dinner table, and Marion’s new lover leaves the Grayson’s home, disgusted. However, in a twist we learn that Victoria and Conrad paid this new love interest to set Marion up so she would fall far down. Now that she has nothing, Victoria kicks her out in a turn of circumstances, and relishes in punishing her mother.

Poor Daniel is an aspiring writer, and even though his parents seem to show support for him, they really want to crush his dreams. Conrad promised to send his poetry out to publishers, and while Daniel is a good writer, Conrad is planning on sending him fake rejection letters.

Back in present day, Victoria and Conrad think that a poet might have been a better career for Daniel, now that Grayson Global is once again under the thumb of Americon Initiative. They need to keep Daniel from heading the board so he’s not a target.

In 2006, we learned that Nolan has a thing for hooking up with his CFO. He and Marco celebrate Thanksgiving with sushi after hours. However, Marco discovers the missing money from Emily’s Cayman Islands account and when Nolan tells him about Amanda Clarke’s situation, Marco isn’t pleased. He thinks Nolan is falling prey to conspiracy theories.

When he can’t reconcile with Marco, Nolan simultaneously fires him and breaks up with him.

This scene sets us up for when Daniel contacts Marco, informing him that he has a business proposition relating NolCorp.

Jack’s dad, Carl, also seems to be involved with some shady business, and it seems like the mafia might be threatening the shore businesses in Montauk. Jack finds him with a gun and someone throws a flaming object in the bar’s window. A neighbor, Mr. Duncan, shoots one of these mafia men and Carl takes the gun from him.

We assume that Carl wasn’t blamed for the murder, since he never ended up in jail, but could that man Duncan killed have been Kenny and Nate’s father? We think that might be why the brothers have such a grudge against Jack’s late father.

What did you think of these shocking new details from the past?
