Usually on Revenge we get a storyline focused on Emily, but last night’s episode everything was much more Amanda-centered. Check out our Revenge recap to see the shocking events surrounding Amanda Clarke.

Amanda is obviously an important part of Emily’s life, but now Amanda is getting even more intertwined in Emily’s revenge plot as Emily continues to search for her mother. Amanda has become publicly associated with the Graysons, which is helpful since Victoria is the only one who can help Emily find her mother.

Since Jack broke it off with her, Amanda is now living with Emily, which means she can control the situation even more closely. Emily gives Amanda her father’s “updated” journals to try and convince Victoria to give her information about Kara Clarke. As ever, Mrs. Grayson is a tough one to crack.

Victoria ends up throwing a baby shower for Amanda at Grayson Manor (to which Amanda brings her stripper friends), during which Victoria gives Amanda a baby journal and a check for $100,000. She’s hoping Amanda will give her the journals.

Emily has other plans for the check though, since earlier she had shown Amanda a visitor log from the mental hospital where her mother was kept. We know Victoria visited Kara Clarke under the name Charlotte Clarke, and Amanda uses the signature on the check to match the signature on the visitor sheet and confronts Victoria.

A lot of yelling ensues, and Victoria refuses to tell Amanda about her mother (all while Emily is listening in, but the feed is cutting out). Eventually Victoria cracks and tells Amanda that her mother was put away in a mental institution because Kara Clarke tried to kill her daughter. Emily doesn’t seem to hear this part.

At the same moment, Victoria pulls the visitor sheet from Amanda’s hand, knocking her off balance and sending her tumbling over the balcony in their foyer. Amanda is unconscious on the Graysons’ floor surrounded by blood, and she is immediately rushed to the hospital.

Jack and Declan have their own problems to deal with, even before Amanda is taken to the hospital. Declan was caught stealing from a guy named Kenny, who is demanded his stuff back. Declan’s literal partner in crime won’t help him by getting the stuff back.

Kenny comes to Jack and tells him that he has one month to repay him $20,000. Oh, and did we mention that Jack’s bar didn’t pass a health code inspection, so it will cost them $40,000 before they can open again. So it won’t be easy getting that money to Kenny.

In a twist of events, it looks like Kenny was working with Declan’s stealing buddy in hopes of buying the bar from Jack. So he is manipulating him on multiple levels. Poor Jack, he can’t catch a break.

Now it looks like he’s going to lose his baby or the mother of his child. Amanda was forced into a coma and the baby is in the NICU, neither of which we’re sure will survive.

Another face appears at the hospital at the end of the episode – Kara Clarke has returned! After hearing of her supposed daughter’s injury on the radio, Kara reroutes herself to the hospital and Emily sees Kara sitting by Amanda’s bedside.

In previous episodes, we have seen Emily unlocking memories of her mother, and now a crucial one comes to her. It seems as though Kara did try to drown her daughter at one point, telling her to pretend she was sleeping underwater. So did she really deserve to be in that mental institution?

More importantly, will she try to kill Amanda this time?

How will Emily hide her true identity from Kara? Won’t her mother’s “intuition” creep in?

While trying to investigate Kara, Aiden got himself into a bit of trouble, and found himself tased and tied up by the former Mrs. Clarke (but she doesn’t use that name anymore). Eventually he frees himself and gets back to Emily. She seems angry at first, but then lets him pull her to him, crying. It seems like Aiden will be a source of comfort for Emily. We like this relationship.

Emily’s former flame, Daniel, seems to be getting cozy with Ashley, even though she was initially spying on him for Conrad, since Daniel has been snooping around Grayson Global’s business. It looks like Conrad is doing some shady things. Daniel tells Ashley that his mother’s kidnapping was fake, and that seems to help her put an end to spying for Conrad.

Can we trust Ashley?

We also got a deeper look into Nolan’s past when Padma uncovers that his father passed away months ago. Nolan had no idea of his father’s death, and it creates an emotional bond between Nolan and Padma. They go through the storage unit together, and we learn that Nolan and his father barely had any contact, but that his father kept tabs on his son’s business.

Nolan finally works up the nerve to kiss Padma, and she is more than willing. We love that Nolan is getting a little (real) romance this season.

However, Padma also finds the check from David Clarke that helped Nolan start NolCorp, so she now knows that a presumed terrorist helped start up Nolan’s company. What could that mean for the reputation of NolCorp? What will Padma do with that information?

So many questions from this episode, but will we have any of them answered next week? Take a look at the promo for the next installment of Revenge.
