We finally received the news that we’ve all been expecting to hear: Revenge has officially been canceled.

Today The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that our beloved Revenge will not be renewed for a fifth season. This comes as a shock to absolutely no one.

The first hint of the show’s demise came from a promo for season 4, episode 20, “Burn.” Watch the promo below.

It teased that the feud between our two leading ladies, Victoria and Emily, would be coming to an end. Then it continued, “Be there for the final four episodes.” We were left thinking: “Of the SERIES or the SEASON?!” But we all knew deep down that once Victoria died in said episode… it was over.

In last week’s episode, “Aftermath,” Emily and co. found out that Victoria committed suicide inside of Grayson Manor because she left a suicide note with Margaux LeMarchal. However, in a twist of events we find out that Mason Treadwell helped Victoria to frame EmiManda for her death. We were left with Emily being taken by the police, and her ex-lover Ben, yelling “That bitch set me up. I’m innocent.”

We’ll miss seeing EmiManda revenging her father’s death — even though he’s now alive — but the show has run its course (as shown by the decline in ratings). The Grayson family is completely destroyed and that was the premise of the show to begin with.

Most of all we’ll miss Nolan Ross. Maybe a spinoff would suffice? It could be like that Tila Tequila show on MTV where she was the bachelorette and got to choose between men and women. Nolan could definitely use a nice vacation with a suitor of his choice, especially since Tony broke his heart last week.

The penultimate episode of Revenge season 4, episode 22 “Plea,” airs this Sunday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
