Revenge season 4, episode 21, “Aftermath,” aired on Sunday. Check our recap to find out how Emily reacted to her house being burnt down.

Revenge starts off with Emily running toward her home being sprayed down by firefighters. David runs over and is glad to find that his daughter is okay.

Louise shows up at LeMarchal and tells Margaux that she’s worried about Victoria because of the fire at Grayson Manor. Just then Margaux finds an envelope addressed to her on her desk in Victoria’s handwriting. It’s her suicide note.

Emily asks Nolan to come over to what remains of Grayson Manor and informs him of Mason’s appearance the night prior. Suddenly a firefighter yells out that there is a body in the wreckage. He says that the body is too burnt
to recognize but the ring that is left behind is that of Victoria Grayson’s. “Ding dong, the bitch is dead.”

At the beach house David asks Emily for an update and she informs him of the possibility of Victoria’s death. Just as they say it’s possible it’s all a hoax, Ben walks in and says the coroner confirmed it was Victoria. He also tells them that Margaux called and told the authorities that she left a suicide note.

Jack is soaking up the sun in Cali with Stevie and Carl. Stevie’s iPad goes off and they’re notified of Victoria’s passing as well. Jack calls Nolan to make sure that Emily didn’t kill Victoria, then abruptly hangs up when Nolan says that Emily is around.

Emily picks up Mason, in her gorgeous Tesla. He wants his name cleared and gives her two days to do so. She heads to Nolan’s and says they need some sort of paper trail from Conrad to his attorney proving that Conrad killed Gordon Murphy to help clear Mason’s name. Nolan is more than happy to oblige.

When Emily shows up at the DA’s office she says that she found a fire-proof briefcase belonging to Conrad Grayson with many documents inside. Outside, Emily tells Mason that he should be off the hook soon.

Margaux and Louise are drowning their sorrows in wine and discussing Victoria. Louise doesn’t believe that it was suicide and when she heads to the the other room she finds a broken door, glass and blood. The next day Louise confronts Emily and tells her that the police will be in touch because Victoria’s death is now considered a homicide.

At the precinct Ben is questioning Emily, which should be a conflict of interest but apparently isn’t. He asks if she has an alibi and she drops Mason Treadwell’s name. “The dead guy?” Ben asks. Emily tries to call Mason but his phone is out of service. Emily then says that they met in her car yesterday and Ben wants to search for fingerprints. Hmm, Mason had a cold and was also using a handkerchief on everything. Coincidence? Of course not.

When leaving the precinct Emily runs into Jack…who was called in for questioning. Emily wanted to meet up with Jack later but he says he’s on the next flight to L.A. as soon as he’s done there. Oh, then he throws out, “Goodbye, Amanda.” Ouch. Adding to that, Emily overhears the detectives say that David’s alibi is clean, he was at the hospital.

During Jack’s questioning he stops Ben and asks what he really wanted to ask him. Ben thinks that Emily is guilty and that Jack helped out. Jack asks if this is a conflict of interest (HA!) since he and Emily are together and Ben tells him that Emily broke up with Ben that same night and ran to the airport after Jack. Jack wins.

Throughout the entire episode Nolan has been slowly falling for Tony. They planned to take a vacation together and drink margaritas and pina coladas. Then Tony enters the beach club and breaks the news to Nolan that he’d been in line to adopt a child. He was told it could take years but it turns out he’s getting a son in two days. That’s when he breaks Nolan’s heart and shatters it into pieces.

Emily waited for David outside the oncologist’s office. He comes clean to her about the lymphoma and tells her it’s now better that she knows. Supposedly they caught it early enough but we’re not too sure. They plan to have a daddy-daughter date night.

Ben is having Emily’s vehicle scanned for Mason’s fingerprints. The forensic specialist says they found several prints and even a few strands of hair. Things aren’t looking good for Emily…

Just as Emily enters the beach house she gets a call from Mason Treadwell. He tells her that his name has been cleared and that Victoria left him a message to give to her. Just as he hangs up a video pops up on Emily’s phone.

Victoria tells her that she is taking Emily’s original plan from her wedding night and using it against her. The only difference is that Victoria has the guts to follow through and kill herself to frame Emily. The video ends and supposedly deletes from the server. Police immediately show up to arrest her. Ben is ruthless with it, too.

Jack is outside and Emily yells, “that bitch set me up, i’m innocent!”
