Downton Abbey fans will have more than just a movie to look forward to thanks to a new special just announced at NBC.

According to Deadline, NBC and Focus Features are joining forces to produce a one-hour special centered around the hit period drama set to air just before the Downton Abbey movie hits the big screen.

Titled Return to Downton Abbey: A Grand Event, the one hour television special promise to bring fans an inside look at the upcoming film.

It’ll be hosted by Dancing With The Stars alum Derek Hough who will also be on hand to interview the cast for the special.

During his interviews, Hough will get the cast’s take on what it was about the series that captured the hearts of millions around the world. He’ll also get the cast to weigh in on “how the series easily segues into the feature film.”

Hough isn’t the only celebrity taking part in the previous filmed television special. In addition, Return to Downton Abbey promises to feature other celebs, who will wax poetic on the series, and weigh in on why they think the series was so special.

Filmed at England’s historic Highclere Castle, the one-hour special is set to air Thursday, September 19— a very fitting air date given that the premiere of the special will take place just one day prior to the film’s release in theaters.

We’re sure Return to Downton Abbey: A Grand Event will make for a great way to pre-game before fans of the hit, Emmy Award winning series, make their way to theaters to watch the movie on September 20!

Return to Downton Abbey: A Grand Event airs Thursday, September 19 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
