Following the acquisition of Summit Entertainment today, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer hinted at wanting more Twilight movies after Breaking Dawn – Part 2 hits theaters later this year.

Full details on the report from the LA Times after the jump.

Speaking to the LA Times regarding the acquisition today, Feltheimer answered a question regarding whether he sees the Twilight franchise continuing past Breaking Dawn – Part 2:

It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value. It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is ‘Boy I hope so.’

Seeing that Twilight has been such a success for Summit (and now Lionsgate), this news is hardly surprising. The real question is how they’ll manage to extend the series. If this report turns out to be true, how do you see them extending the series?
