As we anxiously await Bridget Jones 3 news, this snippet from Renée Zellweger will have to satisfy our curiosity.

The third Bridget Jones movie, Bridget Jones’ Baby, is picking up from the 2004 movie Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. We left Bridget (Renée Zellweger) about to marry Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), following a tumultuous romance that started in the 2001 original.

In 2015, Bridget Jones is older and wiser (?), now a publishing executive and married to Mark Darcy. While Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver is nowhere in sight, we are potentially looking at a new love triangle, involving Grey’s Anatomy alum Patrick Dempsey.

Speaking to E! Online about the third installment, which is currently filming in London, Renée Zellweger said, “I’m having a good time. It’s really a nice reunion with old friends, and it’s always wonderful to be back in London.”

Like most of us, Zellweger never thought a third Bridget Jones movie would actually happen. But, “I’m really glad to be doing it,” she enthuses.

“I love this character so it’s been a real treat to get to revisit it again,” Zellweger continues; she first took on this role 14 years ago, so Bridget Jones really has defined Zellweger’s career.

The first picture released from the film depicts Bridget smiling, and clutching an iPad — clearly, the modern-day equivalent of a diary:

Bridget Jones’ Baby is adapted from the third Helen Fielding novel, titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. Original Bridget Jones director Sharon Maguire returns to direct, and has also co-written the script with One Day author David Nicholls.

The movie hits U.S. cinemas on September 16, 2016.
