Revenge season 4 premieres this Sunday September 28 at 10 p.m. eastern/pacific. Read on for a refresher on what went down in the season finale.

Revenge’s season 3 finale left its viewers in shock with its multiple deaths and the resurrection of someone we thought to be dead since the series premiere.

The season 3 finale started off with Emily and Aiden in the happiest of places – celebrating the small victory of Conrad’s new residence: jail. At Conrad’s bail hearing the judge sees right through him and decides to re-open the David Clarke case file. Also celebrating are Daniel and Victoria, though Queen V’s job isn’t done until she’s got rid of Emily Thorne. Victoria gets the results of a DNA test that she had taken of Charlotte and baby Carl, thus finding out that they are not related, i.e., “Amanda Clarke” is not Amanda Clarke.

Margaux named Daniel her second in command to help her run her father’s company, just as her brother Gideon shows up in town. He claims his purpose is only to help his sister grieve the loss of their father. Yeah, right. It was actually Nolan who contacted Gideon with the purpose of regaining control of MyClone. If Nolan takes over MyClone then Daniel is out, and if Daniel is out then that takes Margaux out giving Gideon sole control of his father’s company.

Aiden shows up at Dr. Michelle’s office and threatens to expose her for her lies regarding the David Clarke case. He foolishly takes a sip of her tea and quickly finds himself drugged. Victoria shows up and smothers him with a pillow, killing him slowly. If her one true love had to die, then so does Emily’s. Speaking of, Emily finds out that her father’s name has been cleared of all charges and she rushes home to celebrate with Aiden but instead finds him motionless and dead on her couch.

Charlotte is upset that Jack gave Emily her father’s ring and not her. She has a flashback from her kidnapping and realizes that Jack was her kidnapper. The authorities are called and Jack is hauled off to jail.

Daniel and Gideon have a night out and end up with a couple of party girls they just met. The next morning Daniel awakes and realizes Gideon had booked him a room, he looks over and finds the girl he was with last night dead at his bedside. Gideon took a picture of them in bed together to show Nolan. Nolan doesn’t like this form of blackmail.

At the cemetery, Emily is digging a grave as Victoria walks up taunting her about Aiden. Victoria starts bashing David Clarke’s name and tells Emily that she knows her true identity. That’s when Emily whacks her with the shovel. Queen V wakes up strapped to a hospital bed — in a mental ward — with Emily by her side. She starts to scream just as Dr. Michelle walks in. Victoria is in good care now.

A prison guard helps Conrad escape jail by giving him the clothes of a minister. He walks out free and whistling like most creepy criminals do. A van pulls up behind him and just as he thinks this is his true escape, lo and behold David Clarke walks out and pulls back his hood and proceeds to bury his knife into Conrad’s abdomen.

Season 4

First things first, where has David Clarke been camping out all this time? 20 years in hiding and now that his name is cleared he comes out for his own revenge on Conrad. He claims he didn’t want his daughter to seek revenge, yet here he is killing the man who framed him – not that we can really blame him. Maybe Stevie Grayson will make a return to help him out, she did try and represent him at one point. Is David in a right state of mind? Being in hiding for as long as he has cannot be good for one’s emotional health. Will he reveal himself to Emily/Amanda or Charlotte?

Now that Jack’s in jail Emily will be working to clear his name. Hopefully baby Carl’s sitter won’t mind watching him for a bit longer because it looks like Charlotte’s serious about keeping Jack behind bars. Is she becoming more Grayson or Clarke?

Will Emily help Jack out of Jail? What is the deal with Gideon? Will Patrick be back and hopefully make amends with Nolan?

There are too many questions that we’re asking ourselves and only two days left until the season 4 premiere of Revenge. Retribution will be a large factor once again between our two leading ladies and we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves.
