Last week’s episode of Red Band Society ended on quite a cliffhanger: Charlie (Griffin Gluck) appeared to wake up from his coma, staring blankly up at the ceiling while Dash (Brian Bradley) called out for him in the ghost hospital.

In Red Band Society season 1, episode 8, “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car,” however, it appears that Charlie isn’t quite out of the woods yet.
In this short new promo, Charlie is shown to be despondent, and might slip back into his coma at any moment:

While the kids will be leaving the hospital to get Charlie an, er, questionable present, Jackson and Dr. McAndrew (Dave Annable) will be left to deal with the newly arrived Dr. Naday (played by Adrian Lester).
Naday has been called to Ocean Park Hospital to treat Charlie, but his methods might not be what Nurse Jackson (Octavia Spencer) had expected.
McAndrew will be left to question Naday’s methods – and with good reason, considering his unorthodox approach.

Annable describes it as a “turf war” between his and Lester’s characters. But hey, as long as it helps Charlie wake up, we don’t care who wins!
