In Red Band Society season 1, episode 2, Jordi’s life might be in danger as Dr. McAndrew runs into some trouble during surgery.

After a great pilot episode, Red Band Society is back tonight with episode 2, “Sole Searching.” Last episode ended with Jordi (Nolan Sotillo) being wheeled into surgery to have his leg removed, after the kids banded together and formed the red band society the show is named after.

But in “Sole Searching,” things might not go as smoothly as we might have hoped. The description for the episode reads:

“Jordi’s surgery takes an unexpected turn, which sends Leo into a tailspin. Meanwhile, Kara’s family tries to work their connections to help her get a heart, when what she really needs is right in front of them.”

In the promotional images released for the episode, we see what exactly Leo (Charlie Rowe)’s tailspin entails: he escapes the hospital to attend a frat party, and is later seen curled up by his bed, and being comforted by Nurse Jackson (Octavia Spencer).

As for Kara (Zoe Levin), we see in a recently released sneak peek that she will once again try to help Emma (Ciara Bravo) cover up her attempts to avoid gaining weight.

Emma, in turn, will approach Kara’s mother in an attempt to get their pair to bond. But apparently, this doesn’t exactly turn out the way she planned.

We wonder if Kara will actually manage to get a new heart, or if she might be this season’s fatality which executive producer Rina Mimoun has hinted at. What do you think?

Red Band Society season 1, episode 2 “Sole Searching” airs tonight at 9/8c on Fox!

Are you looking forward to seeing how the show continues after the strong pilot last week?
