Fox’s Red Band Society is adding another member of the, well, red band society. See who Daren Kagasoff will be playing!

Red Band Society is only one episode into its first season, but we’re already hearing about several additions to the cast. Last week we learned that Mandy Moore would be joining the show as part of the hospital staff, and now we’ve got our first new patient.

Jordi (Nolan Sotillo) won’t be the new kid on the ward for much longer. Deadline reports that actor Daren Kagasoff (who at first glance is a dead ringer for Tyler Posey) will play the recurring character Hunter, “The sarcastic, intellectual bad boy.”

Kagasoff is best known for his role as Shailene Woodley’s beau Ricky on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and is co-starring in the upcoming horror movie Ouija.

It is unclear whether Hunter is a new patient, or whether he’s joining the fray after watching from the sidelines. Either way, he will be thrown into the red band society (the group of friends joined by Leo (Charlie Rowe) in the first episode). Hunter has a life threatening illness, but that doesn’t stop him from “causing mischief as [the society’s] first renegade member.”

It sounds like Hunter and Kara (Zoe Levin) will be fast friends. Or maybe he’ll seduce Dash (Astro) and Leo into exploring their dark side. It’s also possible that he’ll try to pull Emma (Ciara Bravo) away from Leo and Jordi, sparking the love quadrangle promised by executive producer Rina Mimoun.

Red Band Society returns next week with season 1, episode 2, “Sole Searching.” The episode airs Tuesday at 9/8c on Fox.
