A mini Fangirl adaptation exists, and it is everything you wished it would be. An Eleanor & Park movie might be on the way, but if these fans have anything to do with it, Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl will not be far behind.

The adaptation stars The Lizzie Bennet Diaries‘ Mary Kate Wiles (Cath) opposite Denver Milord (Levi), and was directed by Yulin Kuang. Kuang’s other projects include the hilarious historical web series A Tell Tale Vlog, as well as current series Kissing in the Rain, which also stars Wiles.

The Fangirl adaptation is part of Kuang’s ongoing series, I Didn’t Write This. This literary adaptation series takes a different poem or literary work each episode and adapts a section of it. Previous adaptations include Looking for Alaska by John Green.

Even Fangirl author Rainbow Rowell is a fan of the mini-movie, taking to Twitter to call the project “Levitastic”:

Rowell also posted the video on her Tumblr, with the commentary “INCREDIBLY COOL.” We agree Rainbow, we agree. Now, if you could just get around to handing over those Fangirl rights, we might get an entire movie.

The rights to Rowell’s New York Times bestselling novel, Eleanor & Park, were recently picked up by Dreamworks. Rowell has been hired to write the screenplay of the adaptation.
