Quantico has revealed one piece of the puzzle, but things still aren’t fully coming together. We’re giving our final predictions on who else was involved in the attacks.

With only two episodes left of Quantico season 1, answers to all of our burning questions are just around the corner. In the last episode, it was revealed that the person we’ve known as the Voice is none other than Drew Perales, but we still know that somebody else has been involved in framing Alex, and carrying out the attacks against the FBI.

It’s time to get your last predictions in for who the Quantico traitor is. If you choose wisely, you’ll be able to shout “I told you so” from the rooftops until the next mystery unfolds in season 2!

Hypable has already thrown one theory out there (half of this prophecy has already come true… just saying), but we made a few more predictions, just to increase our chances of being on that proverbial rooftop. Also, it’s just way too much fun to speculate about this show! Read on to find out what we think, and let us know your predictions in the comments.

Natalie is alive and pulling all the strings — Kendra

There are very few things I’m sure of in the Quantico universe, but the thing I’m most certain of is that Natalie Vasquez is very much alive. Maybe I’m just conditioned to think that from watching too many television shows where death never really means death, but from the moment of the explosion, I just haven’t been able to accept that she’s really gone.

The one person that we know is involved is Drew. Isn’t it convenient then that Drew joined our class of NATs only one episode before Natalie left? Natalie could have been framing Alex from the very beginning, since she always had a rivalry/vendetta against her, and could have passed the torch off to Drew when the time came. Natalie could have taken care of business out in the real world, while Drew kept an eye on things at Quantico.

We still have no idea how Natalie and Ryan got together, which leads me to believe that there’s still more to find out about Natalie. Maybe they’re saving it for, oh, I don’t know… the last episode after they reveal that she’s the mastermind behind the attacks?

It’s definitely the long gone, but never forgotten, Eric — Laura

Clearly, the terrorist is Eric Packer. Are you puzzled, and saying, “Eric who?” That’s because we’ve been given all season to forget him. He died back in episode 1, or did he?

Quantico kicked off its opening episode by introducing us to a group of NATs. Eric, the Mormon Missionary who used to live in Malawi, and who was an expert archer, was one of the group. We are lead to believe that Eric falls to pieces upon Caleb supposedly discovering Eric’s deep, dark, secret. Supposedly, Eric entered into a forbidden relationship with an underage woman during his mission trip. Caleb potentially exposing this relationship was what then drove Eric to commit suicide.

We’re thinking that the terrorist is Eric. Did the FBI background check really miss Eric’s secret, or was this a fake secret and all part of a bigger plan? Somehow Eric faked his own death, because he is part of a larger plot. Could he possibly be tied into the cult that once held Caleb? Is he working in coordination with others?

Liam is way too shady to not be behind this — Kendra

At the beginning of Quantico season 1, Liam was just a very confusing character who had, at one point, loved both Miranda and Alex, and was somehow only slightly sketchy. As the season continued, Liam only got shadier, to the point where I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was revealed that he was behind the attacks.

The first reason to suspect Liam is the ease with which he could have framed Alex. He was her superior, and in a position of power at Quantico. He had access to any information that he wanted about her, and even had access to her room with all her personal belongings. The last bit of access he needed was to actually get to know her, so he developed a personal relationship with her to fill in any gaps in his knowledge. He even hired an agent specifically to figure her out!

From our end, it looked like Liam and Drew weren’t exactly shooting hoops together after class, but that could have been an act. Remember, Drew did save Liam’s life, and then proceeded to act really weird in the aftermath. They could have orchestrated Drew’s removal from the program if they needed a man on the outside. Liam had just been promoted, so he may have been less able to do the work he had been doing previously to set the attacks in motion.

We already know that Liam isn’t the best agent out there. He got Ryan in serious trouble and got people killed because he was drowning himself in alcohol, so it’s not like he’s the most committed to the FBI’s cause. Therefore, it wouldn’t be overly shocking to figure out that he’s actually working against them.

The only one that could really pull this off is Shelby — Karen

It’s not that I want Shelby to be the terrorist, but right now I feel like she’s perfectly positioned to wreak the most havoc. Our major clue is that the traitor has had his or her eye on Alex since day one. They weren’t always close, but Shelby and Alex did eventually become great friends. That is, until Alex spilled her secret about sleeping with Caleb’s father and it all went downhill from there.

Considering she’s working on the FBI’s computers and is holding a pretty big grudge (and all that dark eye makeup to prove it), it wouldn’t be out of left field. It could have been innocent advice, but her immediate Team Drew attitude, and her arguments against Alex trusting Ryan, has made me suspicious since that moment between the two women in the hospital. It’s not that she was lying about the number of times Ryan has manipulated the truth in front of Alex, but with this show, I always feel like I need to read between the lines.

Plus, what a betrayal this would be. Time and time again Shelby has had to prove her innocence, and she’s done so with great cunning and just the perfect amount of evidence. It’s almost too good. Her parents have ties to terrorists, and she’s toed the line laid down by the law before, so what’s stopping her from stepping over it? Quantico likes to go for the gut punch, and aside from Booth, this might provide the biggest one.

Forget about Shaleb, Shelby and Brandon are the real team — Kristen

Okay, so Brandon Fletcher was introduced a few episodes into the season, and we haven’t seen or heard much about him in all that time. He’s always present in the Quantico storyline, but he’s never the focus. He’s almost always included in whatever training montage they’ve got going on for the episode, but he continues to hang around in the background. There is no way that they introduced his character for him to just exist as another NAT. He has an agenda, and the fact that we haven’t seen him in the present day storyline is telling.

Brandon, as the traitor, would not be a big enough shocker for the show though, so I’m assuming that Shelby is probably his fearless leader. Shelby has been through a lot during her time at Quantico, and discovering that her parents are traitors was hard for her to learn, but maybe, just maybe, she gets so upset with the FBI that she contacts her parents and decides to begin working against the FBI to avenge all the wrongs that have been done to her.

As much as we all loved seeing Shaleb unfold, it would be incredible to see Shelby leading Brandon around and having him do her bidding. Maybe they connect after Quantico and start working together? Maybe she started sleeping with Clayton Haas to get information, and draws Brandon in while she’s hanging around? There are so many options that it’s totally viable.

The traitor is none other than Booth, Ryan Booth — Kristen

Fellow Hypable writer, Kendra, predicted it a few weeks ago, and I agreed that Ryan and Drew working together was a plausible option at the time. Now, I’m convinced that Ryan is the traitor. Here’s why.

During last week’s episode, Drew manipulated Alex into taking a flash drive into FBI headquarters and plugging it in to Ryan’s computer. This act was critical to framing Ryan for everything that has gone down with the terrorist. We can only imagine that FBI headquarters has a security camera or two, and if anyone checks, Alex is the one on film caught trying to frame Ryan. This is vital to him escaping this situation unscathed.

Now, absolutely everyone will believe that Ryan was working to protect the FBI from Alex this whole time. He’s been so vehement in his disdain for her that if the terrorist plot goes through as planned, and Alex takes the blame, then Ryan will be lauded as the one that always suspected her, especially since the two were once very close.

If Ryan is the terrorist, Quantico will have convinced me that it is a show worthy of its material. This show has kept us guessing all season long, and with just two episodes left, it’s almost impossible to know exactly who the terrorist is. That just proves this show knows how to keep us suspicious of everyone, while also learning to love characters and hoping they’ll end up innocent in the end.

No, it has to be…

These fans had some other, great theories about who the traitor is.

And these fans had some theories that are just crazy enough that we’re inclined to believe them!
