Three more people have been cast as major recurring characters for Quantico season 2. What will their roles be in the season?
The cast of the second season is becoming quite full with the addition of three more major characters to the already large ensemble. We’ve already reported that Alex, Ryan, Shelby, Nimah and Raina (or at least one of them) will be returning to the show and that they will be joined by characters portrayed by Russell Tovey, Blair Underwood and Pearl Thusi.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, we can now add Tracy Ifeachor, David Lim and Aaron Diaz to the already long call sheet for Quantico season 2! Ifeachor should be familiar to some Hypable readers because of her previous work on The Originals, where she played a fierce woman named Aya.

Aya was the leader of an organization known as the Strix before she was defeated and she was portrayed beautifully by Ifeachor. In the second season of Quantico, she will be playing Lydia Bates, who is said to be a “highly accomplished actuary with a few twists up her sleeve.”
Lim will be playing Sebastian Chen, a “focused and confident future agent.” It is not yet known whether Sebastian will be a future FBI agent or CIA agent. If he hopes to join the FBI, it could mean we get to return to Quantico for a while! Even though none of our favorite NATs are there anymore, it would be cool to see what’s happening at the school in the aftermath of the attacks.
Diaz’s character’s name is Leon Velez. He is described as a “thrill-seeking photojournalist with no home or life outside his backpack.” We can’t imagine that Alex would come across someone like this at work, so he could be someone that helps her solve a case outside of the office.
All of these new character announcements are great, but we’re still waiting to hear if we’ll be seeing some of our other favorites from season 1 in Quantico going forward*cough*Caleb*cough*. Keep an eye on Hypable for more casting updates.
